Aladdin’s Eatery offers 40 gluten-free Lebanese entrees and peace of mind: Gluten-Free in the CLE restaurant review

WESTLAKE, Ohio – People on gluten-free diets many times tend to stay away from the unfamiliar. If you don’t understand what a dish’s name is, or the ingredients listed, how are you supposed to even begin to figure out if it’s gluten-free?

But fear not. Being gluten-free in Greater Cleveland doesn’t mean you’re destined to survive on burgers without buns and celery sticks. Because honestly, who would want that?

Enter Aladdin’s Eatery – a restaurant chain which, unless you’re a Lebanese food connoisseur, is going to introduce you to new food and even new words for it. Mishwi? Tawook? Hint: they’re both chicken.

You may be saying to yourself “That’s great, Hannah, but just because I learn these new things doesn’t mean I know if I can eat them.”

No worries. Each of the 40 gluten-free menu items is labeled with a “gf” icon by the name. Yes, I did say 40.

This makes it easy to decide what to order without having to ask your server. And when eating out can be a seemingly endless list of questions and modifications, little wins like this are to be celebrated.

Disclaimer: I always tell my servers regardless so they can let the kitchen know I have Celiac Disease, but it’s nice to be able to at least pick out the food I want to order without the initial conversation.

Not only is the menu clearly labeled, but it offers really unique menu items you don’t see everywhere. Click through the gallery above for a few of my personal favorites after a visit to the Crocker Park location this week.
